Description:
Monin macaroon (french: macaron) syrup in a stylish 70cl glass bottle brings the taste of macaroons to any drink or dish. The name macaroon is derived from an Italian word maccarone or maccherone. This word is derived from ammaccare, meaning crush or beat - used here in reference to the almond paste which is the main ingredient of a macaroon. A macaroon is made from meringue - a mixture of egg whites, almond flour, and confectionery sugar. The French macaroon differs from traditional macaroons as in that it is stuffed with cream or butter like a sandwich cookie, and can be found in a wide variety of flavours that range from the traditional (raspberry, chocolate) to the exotic version (truffle, matcha tea...). Both soft and crispy, subtle and irresistible, the Macaroon is one of the most popular French delicacies.

Beverage Innovation Directors Tips:
Monin Macaroon syrup is a really versatile product: you can create drinks from a simple Latte to a sophisticated Martini. The perfect combination of biscuit flavour and almond fragrance will bring a magic touch to your cocktail. You can mix Monin Macaroon syrup with classical flavours such as Monin Blackberry, Strawberry and Chocolate to more delicate flavours like Monin Triple Sec Curacao and Rose. I really like to play with the flavour and texture so I would suggest a Macaroon Pistachio Martini, topped with cream flavoured with Le fruit de Monin Raspberry.
